Program Information

The Competitive program is for jump rope athletes who want to continue their progress with next-level skills and are keen to participate in tournament events. Jr. Team is for athletes 11 (grade 5) and under, and Sr. Team is for those 12 (grade 6) and older, with some possible exceptions as determined by the Coach. Participants in this program are expected to commit to the full season and be dedicated to training for competitions. In addition, it’s expected that parents/supportive adults of athletes in this program help out with Team & Club functions, including participating in judging events and group fundraising.

Team & Club Options

RopeWorks offers both Team and Club Competitive program options.

• Team: For athletes who want to participate in the total competitive experience! Includes 2x/week practices, competing in singles events PLUS team events like speed relays, pairs/team single rope freestyle, wheel, double dutch, and team show.

• Club: For athletes on a tight time budget! Includes 1x/week practice.
  Registration and payment

If you are new to RopeWorks, click the email link (above or below) to connect with the Head Coach for more information about how to join the Competitive program. Once you’ve been provided with a link for the online form, complete and submit the registration. Due at time of registration: Team - $245, Club - $210 payable by e-transfer to Abbotsfordropeworks@gmail.com Please include participant name in the notes. Auto-deposit is enabled, so a password is not required. You will be sent email confirmation of registration once the online form and payment are both received. Please allow a day or two for processing.

Parent/Adult Volunteering - Commitment to volunteering is part of having an athlete in the Competitive program. A parent/guardian (or other supportive adult) must participate in things like judge training, judging events, team fundraising, etc. Facilitating a quality youth sport program takes a lot of effort and many hands make light work!

Waiver Form - A signed Rope Skipping Canada release/waiver form is required for each participant. Forms will be available for a parent/guardian to complete upon arrival at the gym on the first day of practice.

Cancellation policy - Cancellations by August 31, 2023, are eligible for full refund of membership and monthly fees, minus a $15 cancellation charge. September 1 and later, there will be no refunds for payments that have already been completed. Any mid-season cancellations must be made prior to the due date of the next monthly fee (ex. an athlete leaving the program at the start of February must give notice prior to January 25 payment).
